The singer-songwriter’s collaboration with DJ Kan adds a new chapter to her growing catalog.
LOS ANGELES — Singer-songwriter LANDA has released “Maybe It’s Paranoia,” a collaboration with DJ Kan that turns its attention to doubt and uncertainty in relationships.
The title poses a question familiar to anyone who has struggled to understand a partner’s feelings:
is something wrong, or are your own fears shaping the way you see it? That tension provides the starting point for a song about the difficulty of trusting both another person and yourself.

For LANDA, whose releases include “Last Waltz,” “Share My Love” and “Lavender,” the track continues an interest in the emotional complications of love. Its central question leaves room for listeners to bring their own experiences to the music — particularly those moments when a small change in someone’s behavior can prompt a much larger worry.
The collaboration brings together LANDA’s songwriting and vocal work with DJ Kan’s experience in the music industry, including his background with Black Star.
Born Polina Salionova, LANDA studied at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and has performed at venues including The Viper Room, The Peppermint Club, El Cid and Molly Malone’s. She also held a Friday residency at Petit Ermitage.

In 2024, she received the Music Box Award for Best New Artist in the Female Category, marking a milestone in her development as a recording and performing artist.
“Maybe It’s Paranoia” adds to that body of work with a subject that resists an easy answer. Even its title holds onto the uncertainty: the feeling may be a warning, a fear or something in between.
