JU1C3 Jones, pronounced as “Juice”, is a name that resonates with passion, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of musical mastery. His journey began in the 7th grade when his mother posed a simple question, “What instrument do you want to play?” The answer was the trumpet, a decision that unknowingly set the stage for a lifelong love affair with music.
Jones’ early years were marked by a youthful recklessness, a trait that saw him juggle his love for music with a desire to participate in sports. Despite leaving the school band in his freshman year of high school, he held onto his trumpet, playing it in his free time and nurturing his love for music.
The turning point came in 2010 when Jones received a digital audio workstation (DAW), “Magix Music Maker 15”, as a Christmas gift. Initially thrown off guard, he soon found himself composing his first beat, thanks to his old high school buddy, Trevor Potprocky, who had the same DAW. Jones spent countless hours in Potprocky’s basement studio, watching, learning, and later implementing those lessons at home.
In 2015, Jones met Michael Aylor, who played a pivotal role in advancing his mixing and writing skills. Their collaboration lasted for many years, leading to significant growth in Jones’ musical abilities. Although they have recently embarked on separate musical journeys, they continue to share a strong friendship.
Today, JU1C3 Jones is preparing for the release of his solo projects under the management of Fa6o Rican from Urban Beat Wave. He also extends his gratitude to Intercept Music, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his musical journey.
Jones’ story is a testament to the power of passion, learning, and adaptation. His journey from a 7th-grade trumpet player to a skilled composer using a digital audio workstation is nothing short of inspiring. As he prepares to release his solo projects, the world eagerly awaits the next chapter in the musical journey of JU1C3 Jones.
